Reader’s Digest Association goes live on 5 fifteen’s ad DEPOT

NEW YORK - April 8th, 2015 - 5 fifteen Inc, of New York, NY, announced today that Reader's Digest Association (RDA) has gone live after a successful parallel run cycle for print bookings on its ad DEPOT advertising system.

This completes the second phase of the project, following digital bookings in May 2014. The multi-year contract with RDA is for the provision of a cloud-based advertising booking and billing solution for its North American digital operations. In addition to the flagship Reader's Digest magazine, RDA publishes a suite of iconic print and digital titles, including Taste of Home, the world's largest circulation food publication and The Family Handyman, America's leading source for DIY.

The search for a robust ad billing system began when RDA expanded its digital presence and billing requirements, and looked to move its business and customer systems to a cloud computing strategy. The RDA and 5 fifteen teams began working together in 2014 to get to this milestone.

ad DEPOT is helping RDA maximize advertising revenues by leveraging an integrated advertising sales process for both print and digital, as well as providing the framework for a centralized hub of management information.

Created specifically for the magazine industry, ad DEPOT facilitates advert booking, placing, chasing and contact management to take place from one set of inter-connected components.

"We are delighted that our digital and print bookings are live with ad DEPOT. This system provides the flexibility to support our current and future advertising requirements," states John Herzog, Sr. Director, Reader's Digest "ad DEPOT is integrated to our salesforce environment, our digital ad serving platform, financial reporting systems and payment processes. It gives RDA the depth of functionality that our publications need."

ad DEPOT is built using 100 percent web-services which can run anywhere, and is delivered directly from the Windows Azure cloud platform. ad DEPOT provides high availability, scalable and durable cloud storage without the need to focus on infrastructure.

Paul McKinley, General Manager, 5 fifteen Ltd, comments, "We knew that we could deliver to RDA a magazine advertising system quickly and effectively.  ad DEPOT is a cloud-based, agile and expandable global solution, able to adapt to constantly changing business models. RDA now has full visibility across all advertising functions for all its titles, while delivering the quality, speed and accuracy that our customers expect from us."
